If I don’t get my decisions together for what colors I’m going to paint our new house, it is going to be a disaster!! I went online today at Behr Paint & Woodstains website and tried to put together a color scheme. I think I’ve pretty much got it but let me explain what I am trying to capture. First of all, in my previous post Pearls & Decoration, you will see that I have a rugged themed living room. Our sectional couch is blue and with all of the wildlife coffee table and lamps, I was thinking of doing the room in neutral warm brown. The hallway is going to be the same neutral brown color as well as the entrance foyer. The dining room and kitchen I wanted to do a light, cozy feel so I decided to do a very pastel yellow. I am keeping this color in the laundry room as well because I have planned on doing this portion of my home in a beach theme. The beach is one of my favorite places and why not add some decor wall hangings that reminds me of that!! Below is the general theme of colors for our house.

Very neutral and warm colors. I can’t tell you how exciting it is to be able to pick out your own paint knowing that your home is going to be made into “your own” in a short time. We are also re-doing the hardwoods which is really just going to make an atmosphere of comfort. If you are considering painting your home, I would recommend going to the behr website and checking out the virtual color schemes. It even allows you to upload your own pictures and place the paint swatches on them!! Not only is Behr a really great brand of paint, its inexpensive, and they also provide great customer service with the navigation of their site!! Here are the following colors we are using for each room based on the key above:
Kitchen: Moon Dance
Dining Room: Moon Dance
Laundry Room: Moon Dance
Bathroom #1: Surfer
Jackson’s Bedroom: Surfer
Master Bedroom: Wipeout
Bathroom # 2: Wipeout
Hallway & Foyer: Camel
I am still unsure about both bathrooms but this is what we’re going with for now. I am thinking we may want something a little bit lighter in there but we will see when the time comes!!
